With an educational background in Classical Studies, he got the Degree in mechanical engineering, c/o 'Politecnico di Milano', with a thesis on the Integrated Management of a Petrochemical Plant, developed at Montecatini Edison S.p.A. He has spent his working life in various application fields such as mechanics, electronics, petrochemistry, energy after having worked in engineering companies, production companies, plant maintenance, validation services touching every aspect of automation engineering and sharing his experience by publishing articles, presenting papers at international congress and obtaining patents. He has been active member of G.I.S.I. (Gruppo Imprese Strumentazione Italia) and ANIPLA (Associazione Italiana per l’Automazione); he joined ISPE in 1995 and has been member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Affiliate. He has been also consultant for ISO 9000 qualification and is now consultant for the compliance of computerized system and automated equipment.
